The saga of the Cosmos Group began with Haji Abdul Samad Pardesi , a businessman from Karachi, Pakistan, setting up textile trading in Tanzania three decades ago. Gradually, growing from trader to the largest manufacturer in Tanzania , he changed the face of textile industry in Tanzania .

Having created a stable base, he incorporated The Cosmos Group. The founder’s penchant for business is carried forward by his son, Mohammad Owais Pardesi , who is the chairman of the Group. Under his leadership, the Company has diversified into construction , farming and trading . The real estate unit of the Cosmos Group- M/s Cosmos Properties Ltd is involved in the construction of residential and commercial complexes.
